GMC manuals
GMC, which markets only pickups and SUVs, was one of only four brands to survive General Motors' 2009 bankruptcy restructuring. Because all of its models are based on Chevrolets, GMC found itself on the chopping block until GM showed the division's financials to President Obama's Automotive Task Force, and the brand was saved. Simply put, it makes money. GM says the brand's "Professional Grade" image appeals to different buyers than Chevrolet attracts, and if GMC models were discontinued, their buyers wouldn't necessarily buy Chevys instead.
